The pair did not appear to maintain social distancing at a crowded nightclub event in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday evening, with very few guests wearing masks.
The ‘WAP’ rapper first surprised her husband with an extraordinarily expensive Lamborghini, and later the two shared clips from the busy club on social media – posting videos and pictures on Instagram Stories.
(The two famous rappers recently called off a divorce, and have had a fairly tumultuous relationship.)
Ahead of the party, Cardi also shared a message to her husband – who recently said he won’t take the Covid-19 vaccine on Instagram, writing, “Happy birthday Hubs…I wish you many more.” adding, “ Let’s turn it up tonight!!”
People were not, however, happy for the couple to ‘turn it up tonight’, and many fans expressed their disappointment at Cardi and Offset for not following coronavirus safety guidelines, calling it “irresponsible”, “foolish” and a likely “super-spreader event”.
“I love Cardi B so much but WHY is she still throwing huge parties? It’s bumming me out,” one person tweeted. “So cardi b and offset partying in packed clubs? After the US surpassed 16 million covid cases and 300k deaths?” another person said.

This comes just after Cardi faced immense backlash for hosting a large dinner and gathering on Thanksgiving, despite pandemic guidelines:
“Cardi B is now the first act in history to hold 3 parties during a pandemic,” one person commented. “Congrats @iamcardib.”
Others felt annoyed that the tough restrictions do not seem to affect the rich and famous. As one person wrote; “Y’all wonder why we can’t go back to normal? Rules don’t apply to celebrities!”
