Inter Milan and Arsenal were thinking of a possible swap deal. Granit Xhaka would go to Italy and Christian Eriksen would come to Italy.
However, ‘The Sun’ says that the Gunners players have put a stop to that potential exchange: he is not thinking of leaving in January.
The January transfer window will begin very soon and clubs are preparing to bring in the necessary reinforcements to try and up their performances in the second half of the campaign. There will not be big money signings, but there is always the odd interesting move in January.
Inter and Arsenal were studying an interesting swap. The Italians were interested in Xhaka and they were thinking of giving the Gunners Eriksen in exchange. The Dane is not wanted by inter coach Antonio Conte.
However, ‘The Sun’ reports that that deal will not get off the ground. Xhaka is refusing to leave the Emirates in January so Eriksen can forget about a move to Arsenal.
Since going to Inter, Eriksen has hardly played. His relationship with Conte is deteriorating and the footballer has not hidden his discontent.
In one of the more recent matches, Conte brought Eriksen on in the 91st minute. After the game, Eriksen said he felt “lonely”. The coach wants him out, but it looks like he will not be going to Arsenal.
