After being the architect of Arsenal’s first goal against Chelsea, Alexandre Lacazette spoke to ‘Canal+’ about the situation with his coach, Mikel Arteta, after a negative streak in the Premier League.
The Frenchman admitted that there were several arguments but that “it is part of a season”.
Arsenal tasted victory again after their win over Chelsea. The Gunnerd had gone seven league games without a win and did so again against one of the best in the Premier League. Lacazette, who opened the scoring, analysed the match and the relationship with his coach, Mikel Arteta, for ‘Canal+’.
“We had several arguments. But despite that, the main thing for a footballer is to play and have minutes on the field. We can do it all the time that we want, provided that we do not go out or do not have many minutes “, explained the Frenchman, who with his goal against the Chelsea makes it six this season.
“I recognise that is not always all smiles, but it is part of a race, of a season. We always recover after all that,” he added.
Lacazette is one of the players who Arteta has used the most in this first third of the season. He has played a total of 17 games, 13 of which have been from the start, making him one of the main offensive threats for Arsenal.
