Real Madrid got the opener against Alcoyano in the dying moments of the first half. Militao jumped highest to head home Marcelo’s cross to put Zidane’s men in front.
Zinedine Zidane made a lot of changes in the Madrid team to face Alcoyano. Chust and Militao partnered each other in the centre of defence after the absence of Nacho because of a close contact with the coronavirus.
Mariano, Vinicius and Lucas Vázquez, the trio chosen in attack, couldn’t open the scoring but Militao could. In fact, it was the last kick of the half.

Isco played a short corner for Marcelo and the full-back swung it to the back post, where Éder Militao arrived from behind to jump higher than the two Alcoyano opponents who tried to avoid his header.
The header was impossible for the keeper and the CB also scored his first goal of the season for Real Madrid.
