‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ believes that the Swedish footballer could come to an agreement with Janne Andersson, his country’s coach, and will return to play in the Euro’s four years later.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be one of the pleasant surprises of Euro 2021. The competition was scheduled for last year and delayed due to COVID-19.
And, despite his retirement from the national team more than four years ago, Ibra could return for the event. This was announced by ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’, which brought forward conversations between the Milan striker and the coach Janne Andersson, with whom he did not have a great relationship.
“We saw each other and he told me that he never called me a racist. If he opens the doors on his return, we will have to talk about it. The rest stays between us,” explained Janne Andersson in Sweden.
Despite the fact that he is now 39, the striker is enjoying a spectacular campaign with Milan. He has only been able to play ten games because of injuries, but he has scored eleven goals and given two assists.
These numbers confirm that he can still fight one-on-one among the European elite. For this reason, in Sweden they are already considering his return to the national team to lead the country in the European Championship.
